1. Who these terms are with
"HaxHost", "we", "us" refers to HaxHost, the operator of this service. "You" is the person or organisation ordering it.
By placing an order you accept these terms and our privacy policy. If you are ordering for an organisation, you confirm you are entitled to bind it.
HaxHost is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by Haxball or its developer. We host rooms that run on Haxball's own official headless host. Your use of Haxball itself remains subject to Haxball's own terms, and we cannot grant you rights to it.
2. What we provide
We run one or more Haxball rooms on your behalf, continuously, in a location you choose from those we offer, and give you a control panel to configure and moderate them. Depending on your plan that includes private (link-only) rooms, public rooms listed in Haxball's in-game room list, or both.
What is included on every plan: your choice of location from those available, custom stadiums, custom room scripts, a live console with chat and player administration, and continuous operation without you keeping a machine running.
2.1 Public rooms and availability
This one matters, so we will be blunt about it. Haxball itself limits how many rooms from a single IP address appear in the public room list — in our experience two. That limit is not ours and we cannot raise it.
Consequently:
- Public room capacity in a given location is genuinely finite and can sell out.
- We do not guarantee that a public slot will be available in a specific location at a specific time unless we have confirmed it to you in writing.
- If you order a public plan for a location with no free slot, we will tell you, and you may choose another location or a refund under section 4.3.
- If Haxball changes how that limit works, we will adapt as best we can, but we cannot guarantee the outcome.
2.2 Locations described as "on request"
Some locations have no server standing by. They are orderable: when an order lands we bring capacity online, which takes longer than the usual setup time. We will tell you the expected timescale before you commit.
2.3 Room links change
A Haxball room receives its join link from Haxball when the room opens. If a room is restarted, or moved to another location, it gets a new join link. This is how Haxball works and is not a fault. Plan for it: keep one place your community can check for the current link rather than pasting it somewhere permanent.
2.4 Availability
We aim to keep your rooms running continuously and to restore them automatically and quickly if they stop. We do not offer a contractual uptime SLA or service credits. We are telling you that plainly rather than quoting a percentage we would not stand behind: a large part of what can interrupt a Haxball room — Haxball's own platform, your scripts, your players' connections — is outside our control, and a guarantee that excluded all of it would not mean much. What we do commit to is bringing a stopped room back automatically, within seconds, without you asking.
We may carry out maintenance that briefly interrupts a room. Where we can foresee it, we will announce it in advance. We are not liable for interruptions caused by Haxball itself, by your own room scripts or configuration, by your players, or by networks outside our control.
3. Your account
- Give accurate billing details and keep them current. We may suspend service if we cannot reach you or bill you.
- Keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- One account per customer. Do not share a client-area login with people you would not trust to cancel your service.
- Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
4. Billing, renewal and refunds
4.1 Prices and terms
Prices are shown on the plans section and in the store at the time of ordering, in euro, and are the prices that apply to your order — the amount shown at checkout is the amount you pay, with no separate charges added afterwards. Service is prepaid; billing terms from monthly up to annual are available, and annual terms carry the discount shown at checkout.
We accept the payment methods offered at checkout, currently PayPal, cryptocurrency, paysafecard and Amazon gift cards. Payments are handled by those providers; we do not receive or store your card details.
4.2 Renewal, late payment and cancellation
- Service renews for the same term unless cancelled. Invoices are issued in advance.
- Cancel any time from the client area or by ticket. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid term; there are no contract lock-ins and no cancellation fee.
- If an invoice goes unpaid we may suspend the service, and after 14 days we may terminate it and delete its data. Recovering a terminated room's configuration and history may be impossible.
4.3 The 3-day money-back guarantee
Every plan comes with a 3-day money-back guarantee on a first order. If the ping is not what your room needed, tell us within 3 days of activation and we will refund what you paid for that term.
It applies to the first order of a plan, not to renewals, and not to repeat orders of a plan you have already trialled. It does not cover any setup work for an "on request" location that we have already carried out on your behalf.
Outside the guarantee, payments are non-refundable, though we may make exceptions at our discretion — ask. If a service is terminated for breach of section 5 there is no refund.
If you are a consumer, you may have statutory cancellation or withdrawal rights under the law where you live. Nothing in this section takes those away. By ordering you ask us to begin providing the service immediately, which is what lets your room come up in about a minute.
4.4 Chargebacks
If you dispute a charge, talk to us first. A chargeback raised without contacting us may result in immediate suspension, and we may recover the resulting fees.
5. Acceptable use
The rooms are yours to run. These are the limits.
5.1 You must not
- Use the service for anything unlawful, or to host, distribute or link to unlawful content.
- Use our network or your rooms to attack, flood, scan or disrupt anyone — including other Haxball hosts and players. Rooms are DDoS-protected; that protection is not an invitation to launch attacks from behind it.
- Attempt to circumvent Haxball's own limits or protections, or to obtain room capacity by misrepresentation.
- Interfere with other customers, attempt to reach rooms or data that are not yours, or try to escape the isolation your room runs in.
- Run software unrelated to hosting a Haxball room — the service is not general-purpose compute, and specifically not for mining, proxying, scraping or bulk mail.
- Harass, dox or publish personal data about players, or use the service to gather it.
- Resell or sublicense the service without our written agreement.
5.2 Your room, your responsibility
You choose your room's name, map, rules, scripts and moderation. You are responsible for all of it, including:
- What your players do in your room. A public room attracts strangers. If you run one, moderate it — with admins, a script, or both.
- Your room name and branding. It must not impersonate anyone, mislead, or infringe someone else's rights.
- Your own scripts. We do not review them. If a script of yours breaks your room, degrades its performance or breaches these terms, that is yours to fix — though support will help you where we reasonably can.
- Anything you publish. If you enable a public statistics page, you are choosing to publish what is on it.
5.3 Resource use
Rooms run with resource limits so one customer cannot degrade another's. If your usage persistently exceeds what your plan provides, we will contact you to find a fit rather than cut you off without warning.
5.4 If you breach this section
We may suspend or terminate the affected room or your account. Where the circumstances allow it we will warn you first and give you a chance to fix things; where they do not — active illegality, an attack in progress, a risk to other customers — we may act immediately. We may report unlawful activity to the authorities.
6. Support
Support is by ticket from the client area, in English. We aim to respond within 24 hours. Support covers the service: locations, room configuration, the panel, billing, and help moving an existing setup across. It does not extend to writing your room scripts for you, though we will happily point you in the right direction.
7. Your data and your players' data
How we handle personal data is set out in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms. Two points belong here:
- For data about your players — nicknames, chat, match statistics — you decide what is collected and published, and we process it on your behalf under your instructions. That makes you the controller and us the processor. Make sure you are entitled to do what you configure.
- Player IP addresses are stored only as irreversible hashes. Neither you nor our staff can read a player's IP address out of the platform. This is a deliberate design decision and we will not make exceptions to it.
8. Liability
The service is provided with reasonable skill and care, but not warranted to be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profit, lost players, lost competitive outcomes, lost or corrupted data, or any indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the affected service in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for a consumer's non-excludable statutory rights.
9. Changes to the service and these terms
We may change these terms. Material changes will be announced at least 30 days before they take effect, by email or in the client area. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept them; if you do not, cancel before they take effect.
We may change or retire locations and plan features. Where a change materially reduces what you are paying for, we will offer you a comparable alternative or a pro-rata refund of the unused term.
10. Termination
You may cancel at any time (section 4.2). We may terminate for breach of section 5, for non-payment, or on 30 days' notice with a pro-rata refund of the unused term. On termination your rooms stop and their data is deleted after 14 days — export anything you want to keep before then.
11. Contact
Open a ticket from the client area, or use the contact form — those are the fastest routes and reach us first. For formal or legal notices: [email protected].
